Tastes Like a Holiday

Our kitchen is well seasoned much like our senior chef who maintains quality-control over our kitchen here. When he isn’t whipping up unique plum pastas or fine fish delicacies, he might serve up a funny story from his time overseas in the train and freightliner kitchens. You will find our restaurant to be as charming as the hotel itself yet down-to-earth as we like to keep it. Whether outside on the cozy lakeside terrace or indoors in the restaurant - it is comfortable everywhere. Right in the middle of the restaurant: our Kristallbar

4 Courses in the Evening

all ready at the starter buffet, you will find an assortment of antipaste and fresh salads, which precede our daily 4-course menu. We appreciate the Bavarian cuisine such as Bratenpfandl, Surfleisch, and Tafelspitz. Delicacies vary on the menu each day. Also favored dishes of our neighbors, such as; Saltimbocca, Lammkeule Provencale, or Spanische Paella are proudly served here. And of course, a-LOT-of Fish!

Tasty vegetarian options include; Reiberdatschi, Pikante Strudel, Swiss Cheese in Beer-batter, and Spagetti with home-made wild garlic pesto - often we use our own garden or develop recipes incorporating seasonal products from the local area, mushrooms from the Bavarian Forrest, or apples fresh from the orchard.

Sweet temptations provided daily with our homemade deserts; pancakes with forrest berries, dumplings in Bavarian creme, apple pie with cinnamon sugar, Millirahmstrudel, Grießschnitten or plum pasta. Or how about, puff pastries and potato dumplings with nougat filling?

By the way, our menu can be perfectly complimented with one of our wines from the
wine list. Afterwards, an espresso perhaps or a selected spirit from our Kleinen
Schnaps-bar... and just between us, sometimes schnaps goes in-between too!

For Breakfast

Fine from the top of the day, spicy and sweet, fresh and fruity, at the buffet you will find everything your palate desires. Jams are made from the fruits of our own orchard, spread heavenly on a buttery roll. On a warm day with the sun glistening on the water you will find most people prefer to have their breakfast on the lakeside terrace. Many have found their favorite spot to spend the day.

Restaurant and Kristallbar

The heart of our hotel restaurant is the elegant Kristallbar. Tea and coffee is served there as well as fruit brandies and freshly mixed cocktails. Next door, in the romantic-room, you can enjoy the 4-course meal in the evening by candlelight. A fire flickers in the natural sun room.

Picnic by the lake

Plenty of nice places to rest around the lake can always be found. It can be extra romantic with a basket and a blanket. We like to pack all sorts of delicacies to take-away. Of course wine is included. A leisurely walk maybe, or perhaps a small boat tour or e-bike is preferred?
